Brighten Your Smile With ZOOM Whitening: Mention This Post And SAVE 25%!

Encinitas Teeth Whitening
Who doesn’t want a pearly white smile? Your teeth are one of the first things that people notice when they look at you and having a great smile is a confidence booster for anyone. You don’t have to be in movies to have a Hollywood smile, you just may need a little help from the pros.

There are a wide variety of things that can stain your teeth, but the common ones are tobacco use, red wine, coffee, tea, cola, certain prescriptions, and even aging. Fortunately, removing stains and restoring that bright smile is easier than you might think. You don’t have to waste time out of your day wearing whitening strips for an entire month to see results either.

At North Coast Family Dentistry, we offer Zoom! whitening to our patients and we have seen amazing results.

Benefits of Zoom! over other whitening methods include:
  • All teeth are whitened at the same time
  • Faster treatment time
  • Removes stains from crowns, veneers, and other restorations
  • Procedure and treatment are both safe
  • Treatments are performed by an experienced professional

Mention this post to save 25% through the end of August!

We are currently offering a promotion to current and new patients for teeth whitening. If you’ve never had your teeth professionally whitened, now is the time to see the difference for yourself. The results are impressive and all you have to do is sit back while we do all the work. It’s so much easier and quicker than using any of those home whitening kits.

Check out all the details on Zoom! whitening here.

Of course, we always recommend preventing stains as much as possible by brushing and flossing daily. However, some light discoloration is inevitable for those who enjoy coffee and wine. You shouldn’t avoid the things you enjoy because you’re worried about ruining your smile. Our whitening procedure will have your teeth looking pearly again in no time.

You can schedule your appointment online and don’t forget to mention this post for your discount! We look forward to seeing you soon and bringing that beautiful smile back to its full glory.

Kids/Students Home For The Summer? Make Your Cleaning Appointments Early Before We're Booked Up!

Summer dentist appointments Encinitas
With kids and young adults home for summer it’s a great time of the year to travel, relax, and enjoy quality time together. It’s always nice to not have a fully packed schedule that accompanies the school year.

Now is also a perfect time to get caught up on things that are more of a hassle when school is in session. Most people tend to put off teeth cleanings until August and we get completely booked up. Scheduling your cleaning before then allows you to get it out of the way before your schedule gets full and to get in before our schedule gets full.

Requesting an appointment is easy and can be done online!

Have Your Kids Been Practicing Good Oral Hygiene?

With summer vacation in full swing, it’s easy for your normal routine to break down. It’s important for everyone to maintain a solid cleaning regimen in between visits to our office. Not only will they have a bright and shining smile, but they’ll be healthier too.

We’ve written up a brief guide to brushing and flossing that should answer most questions or concerns regarding a daily routine. As always, we are happy to answer any other questions you might have as well.

Young People Neglecting To Floss

The biggest issue we see, especially with kids/young adults, is neglecting to floss. We get it. Most people do not enjoy flossing. However, there are several good reasons to do it anyway, including:
  • Flossing prevents tooth decay
  • Flossing prevents periodontal disease
  • Flossing prevents halitosis (bad breath)
  • Flossing even prevents stains from becoming permanent
Don’t wait until the day before your visit to start flossing. (We can tell.) Start building the habit of doing it today, even if you can only get yourself or your kids to do it once a day. That’s significantly better than not flossing at all.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and we at North Coast Family Dentistry are looking forward to seeing your family soon!

Dr. Michael Myers: One of San Diego's Top Dentists for 8th Straight Year

Best San Diego Dentists - Dr. Michael Myers
North Coast Family Dentistry is proud to announce that Dr. Myers has again been chosen as one of the top dentists in the San Diego area. The honor was publicized in San Diego Magazine in April and marks the eighth consecutive year that Dr. Myers was signaled out by fellow dental colleagues.

To come up with their list, the magazine asked thousands of dental professionals, "If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which dentist would you refer them to?" Dentists and specialists were asked to consider several areas, including years of experience, manner with patients, use of new techniques, and physical results.

Dr. Myers was chosen in the General Dentistry category, and he's thrilled he made the list again. He's especially honored that he was chosen by his fellow dental colleagues.

North Coast is accepting new patients, so if you'd like to find out firsthand why Dr. Myers is a top dentist, call us for an appointment today.

About Dr. Michael Myers

Originally from Washington, D.C., Dr. Myers graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 1971. He then retuned to his hometown to attend Georgetown University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1975. Dr. Myers and his family decided to return to Southern California in the summer of that year to begin his dental career. In 1979, he moved his practice to Encinitas, and in 1987, he was one of the founders of the North Coast Health Center.

35th Anniversary Special: 15% off all Fillings!

To celebrate our 35th anniversary, North Coast Family Dentistry is offering an amazing special for the month of September. All fillings, of any material, are 15 percent off!

If you have cavities, it's very important that you take care of them right away. When they're discovered early enough, cavities can be treated quickly and painlessly. Ignoring them can lead to pain and possible infection.  Prolonged lack of treatment may result in more significant, and costly, problems.

When you come into North Coast Family Dentistry, we'll give you a thorough examination. If cavities are found, Dr. Myers will talk to you about your filling options. There are different types of filling materials to use, including gold, amalgam (silver), and composite resin (tooth colored).

Dr. Myers will go over the pros and cons of each, and whichever type you decide on, now through the end of September, you'll get 15 percent off each one.

We, at North Coast, have really enjoyed serving the Encinitas community, and this offer is just a little token of our appreciation. It's our way of saying thanks for being such great patients. We look forward to serving you for another 35 years!

About North Coast Family Dentistry

September Special: 50% off Bleaching Trays!

encinitas teeth bleaching
Let's face it: everyone likes having whiter teeth. When we smile, we want people to see our pearly whites, not our yellowish or stained teeth. If you are unhappy with the color of your teeth, now is the perfect time to come into North Coast Family Dentistry. For the month of September, we're offering our bleaching trays at 50 percent off!

There are many reasons why teeth lose their natural white color. These include:

  • Normal wear of the outer tooth layer
  • Excessive fluoridation during tooth development
  • Stained teeth due to medications, certain food or drinks, or smoking
When you come in to North Coast Family Dentistry to have your teeth whitened, you'll need two visits. During the first appointment, impressions will be made of your teeth to create clear plastic trays. At your second appointment, your trays will be put on to make sure they fit, and any adjustments will be made.

Depending on the amount of staining or how white you want your teeth, the trays will be worn with a whitening solution either once a day for 1 to 2 hours, or overnight for a week or so.

We will of course give you all of the care instructions for you teeth as well as the bleaching trays. And if you come in before September 30, those trays will be half price. Don't wait any longer; let us help restore the beauty of your smile.
